A development permit is required prior to any development within the village limits.   This includes digging, filling, building, and any drainage work. Please contact us to begin the process for a permit.

The Village of Bailey’s Prairie is a zoned community. If you are planning to build in the village, contact Randy Stroud at 979-849-3141 prior to building to obtain a permit. Commercial activity is not allowed in residential areas.

Emergency services in the Village of Bailey’s Prairie are provided by the following agencies:

• Ambulance services are provided by Angleton Area Emergency Medical Services.
• The Angleton Volunteer Fire Department responds to fire emergencies. Call 911 for dispatch.
• The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department provides law enforcement. Call 911 for dispatch.

Brazoria County has released a Disaster Preparedness Guide.  The electronic version, linked below, is available now.  The mailing of a paper version of the Guide has been mailed out by the county.
