The National Weather Service is closely following the development of Harvey now that it is over the open waters of the gulf.  Everyone in Bailey’s Prairie and Brazoria County needs to pay close attention to the National Weather Service announcements at www.weather.gov and the local media.  The projection is for copious amounts of rain as the system is projected to stall over the coast.  At this time the NWS projects our area could receive up to 16 inches of rain over the next 7 days.  Make preparations now to protect your family, property, pets and livestock.  If you live in Bailey’s Prairie or own land in Bailey’s Prairie, it is not too late to sign up for the emergency notification service One Note on this website.  Emergency updates will be found on the Village of Bailey’s Prairie Facebook page and through One Note.
