The email of the Village Secretary and contact information for the Floodplain Administrator are also available on the Contact Us page.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I LIVE IN BAILEY'S PRAIRIE?
The village limits of Bailey's Prairie are the same as the boundaries of Abstract 129 in Brazoria County, Texas.  If your legal description shows your property in Abstract 129, your property is within the village limits.

WHAT ARE ORDINANCES AND HOW DO I FIND THEM?
Ordinances are the rules or laws passed by the Village.  The business of the village--passing a budget, joining FEMA, calling for an election, Zoning, etc--must all be in writing in the form of an ordinance and passsed by the Board of Aldermen.  The older ordinances were printed on a dot-matrix printer and do not scan.  The more current ordinances scan better and can be accessed on this website.  For an index to the ordinances, click here.   To see the ordinances, click here
.  If you need a copy of an ordinance that is not on the website, please contact the village secretary.
